In a remarkable achievement, 67 candidates have secured the top rank in the NEET 2024 MBBS entrance exam. Among these top scorers, 14 are girls. Rajasthan leads with the highest number of top rankers, followed by Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
NEET 2024 Results Announced:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET 2024 results on June 4. Candidates can now check their results on the official NTA NEET website. The NTA has also released the list of all-India toppers along with category-wise cut-off marks and percentile ranks. This year, 56.4% of candidates qualified for the exam, which was held on May 5 across various centers in India and abroad.

A senior NTA official explained that the 67 candidates who scored the same 99.997129 percentile share the all-India rank. The merit list will be determined using a tie-breaking formula prioritizing higher marks or percentile scores in Biology, followed by Chemistry and Physics.
Increase in Qualifying Marks:
This year saw a record 24.06 lakh candidates registering for NEET, with a passing percentage nearly identical to last year’s 56.2%. Among the qualifiers, there are 5,47,036 male, 7,69,222 female, and 10 transgender candidates. The examination was conducted in 13 languages.
There was an increase in qualifying marks this year. For example, the unreserved category’s qualifying mark range increased from 137–720 last year to 164–720 this year. For OBC, SC, and ST categories, it increased from 107–136 to 129–163.

Qualified candidates are reminded to complete further formalities with their respective counseling authorities for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The NTA has also conducted post-exam data analysis to detect unfair means, with strict actions in place for any such cases.
