The National Medical Commission (NMC) has been approached for authorization to set up two new medical colleges, both private and government. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) recently announced plans to open two new government medical colleges during the upcoming academic year. According to TOI reports, these two colleges are planned for Ramanagara and Kanakpura.
PES University, a renowned institution, plans to launch a new medical college at its Electronic City campus. Having operated its hospital for a year. The college has requested approval to admit 100 students, showing its commitment to expanding medical education.

In addition to government and established private institutions, Adichunchunagiri University has proposed to the NMC to set up a medical college in Nagamangala. Many of these colleges have applied for an increase of 50 medical seats individually.
